Midtown Manhattan has a wonderfully diverse community of residents, workers, commuters, and visitors. However, in the face of rising rent and competitive pricing of organic foods, many members of our community don’t have access to fresh produce. Underpaid workers in Midtown Manhattan struggle to find affordable, healthy food for meals.
Our founding farm is located on the corner of 7th Avenue and West 39th Street, the mission of Inner City Farmer’s small intensive agricultural project is to donate our freshly prepared vegetable produce to residents of Midtown Manhattan who cannot personally afford to pay for it. We have have also installed gardens on roof tops, court yards and vacant space around the city and we can install one for anyone interested in spreading green in our city.
